CONCURRENT AFFAIR

10k_inworld

Tateru Nino was first to notice (as Tateru is wont to do), but it bears repeating here:  nowadays, current peak concurrency in-world is easily exceeding 10,000.  (From a registered-user base well over 600K.)  Funny how, but a bit more than two months ago, 8K in-world and 300,000 total seemed like a lot.

For my part, I would not have know about Burning Man if not for the posts here on NWN. So the lack of promotion would seem to play a part. But Is that LL's fault or the community at large?

Well, has this really doubled? because they changed how it's counted in mid august as they point out here.

So before that it was something like the average of both numbers shown today and when I compute that for today I get a number of about 456K users (which is not time-weighted as theirs was).
