HERE COMES THE FLOOD

As Rik reported in his Events calendar, early Wednesday saw a pretty cool, immersive demonstration of global warming's worse case scenario impact-- whole regions throughout Second Life, submerged under water.  Here's a short video of the results, which Residents seem to have taken in stride, quickly converting into a water-borne society.  (All that's missing is an Al Gore avatar flying over the grid shouting, "LOL pwned!11!!")  Which may be a possible drawback to its pedagogical power:  without all that inconvenient property damage, loss of life, or social collapse, global warming seems, well, kinda fun.
