Capturing Black Swan: Travelogue Machinima by Lainy Voom

Around the time she was completing her machinima masterpiece "The Dumb Man", Lainy Voom also shot this darkly beautiful travelogue devoted to Black Swan, a surreal and haunting island. "I kept visiting the sim to study the sculptures and take pics," she tells me.  "I wasn't happy with the pics, I was unable to capture what I was experiencing."  She switched to video capture, "and it all seemed to fall into place."

Her eerie montage is composed entirely of raw footage (no post-production effects) and most surprising to me, doesn't used the WindLight viewer, which was not available at the time.  And though I'm hardly the first to praise Black Swan, I should disclose the region was created by Rezzable, an occasional advertiser to this blog.  I'm also happy to announce Lainy and I are now working together on A Supercool Machinima Project, to be revealed soon.
