Blogging Vampire: Chloe Streeter's Kyūketsuki

Chloe_streeter_leaps I only just started wading through the latest crush of SL blogs that stormed into my RSS feed, and came across this gem:  Chloe Streeter's Kyūketsuki, a blog that's actually the ongoing narrative of a vampire assassin that Chloe tells in words and Second Life screenshots.  The images are evocative, and so is her writing:

My name is Ai Ōnishi. In Japanese, my first name means “love,” and there was a time when I considered mine a story of love... But that was decades ago in a life long abandoned. Now I am known as Mukade, an assassin for the Kuroiwa clan. And I am also one of the kyūketsuki. A being without love. A being without promise. A parasite. A demon. A vampire.

The story begins here, on a rooftop high above Ai's latest target.  Keep reading to find out if Ai finds the love she yearns for... and Ms. Streeter, the audience she deserves.

Thank you for posting this, Hamlet. Kyuketsuki really does deserve people's attention. It reads like a very good graphic novel. I have to admit though, I was turned off by the idea of a story about vampire assassins...until I actually read it. It's more of a story of soul-searching than anything. You'll find yourself drawn into the story and anxious for the next chapter =)

"Vampire assassin?"

good lord.
