Now through Halloween, the West of Ireland is celebrating Samhain with great music, wonderful storytelling, and a hunt for more than 80 gift filled pumpkins throughout the sims.
We also have an auction going on on the deck at Nancy Blake's Pub. Seven items are now open for bid: two one of a kind outfits from AliciaKay Kilara of Touch of Ireland, three complete sets of jewelry by Eolande Elvehjem of Accessories by Eolande, and two works of art by Riali Sandalwood not available elsewhere in SL.
All proceeds from the auction and 100% of donations go to Project Children (projectchildren.org), an organization that reaches out to kids in Northern Ireland who have been affected by violence and poverty.
One last plug: Tonight, Wednesday, Tone Uriza and Avatar Quinzet will be playing the best blues you'll hear anywhere at Nancy Blake's Pub starting at 6pm. Caledonia Skytower will be at the West of Ireland Library at 7pm slt reading the works of Edward Gorey.
I hope to see you there.

I finished My work on my Burning Life Project. A project at burning Life does not stop once it opens, it continues all through the week. I had lots of Fun and lots of nice feed back from many strangers. It really boosted my confidence and enthusiasm to continue putting up with Linden Lab.

Next on my calander is New Babbage and the annual Burning Barrel Race this Sunday. Being that it is autumn, New Babbage comes alive with many Role play stories and projects this time of year.

Hi everyboy!
I'm a content creator in Second Life and i make latex costumes and sexy designs (NOD Stores).
I will like to request your vote to fix a silly bug: in Second Life clothes must match perfectly but there is a gap between the shirt and pants layers. You can vote here:
http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-9530
Help designers and costumers to get better quality voting for fixing this bug. Thanks!

The Haunting of Fandango starts tonight sometime around midnight SLT or as soon as we get those darn ghosts and spirits to co operate. We are having a hunt that will take you all over Fandango’s public areas. We’ve been told by some of our victims…er early visitors, that our haunted house and graveyard is one of the creepiest they have experienced in SL and we need to have our heads examined…because we like to play with yours! (Not to worry we will give it back) And yes there will be hunt prizes in the haunted house so you HAVE to go in there if you want them…muwah ha ha. Start here http://slurl.com/secondlife/Fandango/203/55/22 and get your Trick or Treat bag. The sim will close to the public tonight for a few hours while we make some final arrangements (yours …muwah ha ha ha) and open sometime around midnight SLT. The hunt will be on until November 5 when we have our Guy Hawkes bonfire.

I've relaunched my prefab store lately, along with a blog (http://www.lordfly.com/gridliving). I specialize in unique designs and interesting takes on old ideas. I have over six years of SL building experience, and have designed experiences for the best.
When not making prefabs, I also dabble in amateur machinima. I'm also working on the 1000 avatars project,a long-term art project showcasing the creative possibilities of SL's avatars.
It's all on my blog, including links to my store in-world and my XStreetSL address! :)
If you're looking for professional information, my slightly outdated portfolio is at http://www.lordfly.com/

Thank you, Hamlet!
I'm working with the Artists Voice, a newly formed group aiming to combat content theft, and am the head of the Teen Grid team. My job is to help the TG get out of the slump inflicted upon it by content theft, to find ways to help them combat copybot problems, and to give Main Grid creators knowledge on how to deal with cross-grid thefts.
Right now, I'm looking for someone with legal knowledge on DMCA law and how it would apply to minors, specifically those on the Teen Grid of Second Life. There's a group of teens who steal content from Main Grid creators and distribute it full-perm or resell it as their own work, and I'd like to gain more knowledge on how the creators could deal with this theft. The situation is complicated because the creators can't go over to the teen side and see the stolen items, but I think they should still have the ability to file against those thieves.
Anyone can contact me in-world or through email at Arwynquandry@hotmail.com

I would really love it if other educators would take a look at the blog I have for our Second Life teen island. I work with inner city youth who do not have much access to computers outside of school. In doing the work we have done on the island, these students are getting a chance to think about careers they would not have thought about before. Many are talking about doing work in the graphic arts or architecture. They are getting a chance to create with almost limitless materials which is something that rarely happens when even art supplies have to be doled out carefully. Go to http://pesdisland.blogspot.com/ and check out the videos, photostories, and hunt for the kids' blog entries. I am so proud of them. :)

I work on http://metavirtual.us which is a categorized blog aggregator. It's been around for over a year now. Cheap effective advertising and looking to syndicate.
Also look forward to new items being released to my clothing store Hilarious and there's some items at KessKreations that are for sale that benefit ACS.

I build complex geometric sculptures/objects. You can see some of them at Omni Gallery: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Giradikon/166/71/82
Lately, my SL building has inspired my RL work. This has produced this --> http://www.bathsheba.com/crystal/e8/
I'm currently looking into other ways of reproducing my SL-built objects in RL. This will involve technical solutions more complex than welding and assembling steel.

I'd like to invite everyone to swing by Submerged: an Undersea Gallery of Terrestrial Art. Walk through the reflexive gallery of real life paintings, drawings and photographs. There are currently 4 separate exhibits showing.
See you there? Of course! Thanks!

No self promotion for me, but I feel *compelled* to answer Noreen who said:
"I would really love it if other educators would take a look at the blog I have for our Second Life teen island. I work with inner city youth who do not have much access to computers outside of school. In doing the work we have done on the island, these students are getting a chance to think about careers they would not have thought about before."
Now *this* is a story, Hamlet. This is good work (having previously worked for Boys & Girls Clubs myself, I can definitely relate to this effort.)
Congratulations, Noreen. Godspeed and great luck and fortune to you and your efforts.
