If your want to buy a "magic box", for example, but don't want to look at Adult-rated items associated with those terms (if you know what I mean and I think you do), "try Magic Box -sex," Cieran explains, "and hit search and this removes from results any parcels with sex as a term." Much more here.

You're quoting her completely out of context, and that's rather irresponsible as a journalist. The bolded quote you gave refers to in-world searches for parcels, not xStreetSL searches. Her article's not just about xStreetSL searches, but also about in-world searches. There are xStreetSL tips given, but later on in the article.

Here's the rest of that quote:
"Now I might decide, I don't want to go to parcels that have sex on them, some people don't. So I could try Magic Box -sex and hit search and this removes from results any parcels with sex as a term."

I didn't write that piece as well as I should have. magic Box -sex should work both inworld and on Xstreet.

Some parts are Xstreet specific, others are inworld specific.
