Who Wants to Turn "Pixelated Truth" Into an Official Machinima for Top Danish Pop Group Giana Factory?

Second Life machinima makers, here's an excellent project that you should investigate: Giana Factory, a top Danish electronica group, has just launched a contest to create an official music video made in SL. The combo will perform at the legendary South by Southwest in Austin this year, and has earned an admiring write-up on Pitchfork, a top indie music kingmaker site, so this is a killer opportunity to be involved with some rising stars. The song they want to make as machinima uses gaming as a metaphor for deeper personal truths, so it's perfectly suited for 3D graphics. Give a listen to the track, it's moody cool:

This project comes to us via Pop Art Lab, the Second Life project run by fellow Dane Claus Uriza. He was inspired to do this after many visitors to the Pop Art sim kept asking about the Danish pop music he was streaming on his sim. He met with some major Danish artists, since "I thought it could be cool to show these folks the powers of my Lab and marketing opportunities." He contacted Giana Factory, showed them Second Life ("They liked the idea although none had any knowledge on SL at all"), and quickly cleared permission to make the video with their label.

Once again, here's the rules and submission guidelines. Giana Factory themselves will select the winner, and needless to say, I'll be featuring the winner on NWN. And if you want more inspiration, here's a current Giana Factory video featured on the SXSW YouTube channel:
