Brie Makes Second Life Seem Like Immersive O'Keefe

Brie Wonder SL screenshot

Yes this is a screenshot of Second Life, though it might not seem so; might even seem like, say, someone had walked into a painting by Georgia O'Keefe. But to be precise, it's an SL fashion blog pic by Ms. Brie Wonder, who shoots SL screenshots which seem like such. Click here to embiggenize, and behold in full.

I often wish Linden Lab were more aware of what their platform was capable of. Singling out the camera and Windlight settings, SL could look so much more impressive for all users with better default presets, at no cost to performance.

In addition, well made avatars and environments can bring SL up to where it compares favourably to modern MMOs.

Here are some screenshots, with no touching up in external software, of sim work from SL.

Ms. Brie takes these basic concepts and combines them with wonderful use of lighting and composition. LL could also learn from that when presenting Second Life to their potential customers with their marketing materials.
