Monday Machinima: Watch "echo quietus serenata", a Whirlwind Montage of Magic, Madness
"echo quietus serenata" is a new machinima by Kobuk Farshore, and while the editing may seem a bit too frenetic for coherence's sake, I'm totally taken by the visual effects and the virtual cinematography, with excellent use of dynamic shadow, SL props and scenery, and (I suppose) custom WindLight settings that give the graphics a painted quality. (It's like a music video for an MTV from another, much more fantastic reality.)
Farshore's machinima, by the way, is a submission in the University of Western Australia's latest Second Life machinima contest, which I'm helping judge, and centers around the theme "seek wisdom". Click here and share your own favorites in Comments.

Unlike the Olympics machinima Hamlet recently posted, the one that may appear with Duran Duran, this piece shows what great animations can do for a creative work.
That's the takeaway for me. The deer in particular moves in a way that I've seldom seen with SL animals.
