5 Hot Male SL Fashion Bloggers to Spend Your Weekend With

Iris Ophelia's ongoing review of gaming and virtual world style

Lately there's been a lot of talk about the boys of the Second Life fashion blogosphere, and frankly the more talk the better! It's easy for the ladies, myself included, to get wrapped up in our own little fashionable worlds and forget that there are oodles of handsome young men out there who are just as stylish as us, if not more so. Male bloggers traditionally have a smaller audience and fewer options than their spoiled female counterparts, so today I wanted to tip my hat to a few well-dressed gents you may or may not have seen before.

Takeshi Ugajin, Styling Scrapbook

Takeshi, pictured above, has a style I can appreciate. He dips into the arty, the sporty, the classic, and the casual, and his pictures look natural and uncomplicated. His blog is more or less a lookbook of his daily or near-daily outfits, with some posts about sales and new releases here and there. if you like to see a little bit of everything without any pretenses, he's definitely your guy.

Hikaru Enimo, Hikaru Enimo ~ Male Fashionista

Hikaru Enimo's posts often feature scenes that seem to tell a story, though aside from each post's title he leaves that story up to you. It's as chic as it is thoughtful. I do wish that his pictures were a little clearer since his lighting and Photoshop work can sometimes muddy the details, but overall it contributes to the quiet ambiance of his style.

Agustin Wonder, The City Gent

If everyone in SL had half as much character as Agustin Wonder does, the metaverse would be a much more exciting place. I'll admit that a lot of his looks aren't quite my style, but I always love to see people doing something different (and doing that something amazingly well). In one post Agustin might be channelling will.i.am, while in the next he may put his spin on Hendrix, and then be something entirely unique to his own style in the post after that. Fashionable men of SL, if you're not taking notes on his blog, you should be.

Kevin Eggstar, Kevin's Fashion Workshop.

Kevin is SL menswear's answer to all those ultra-cute and uber-twee Japanese and Korean inspired fashionistas. What he wears is always offbeat but impeccably coordinated, weird but appealing. It's almost a guarantee that every single outfit he puts together will have at least one thing from a shop you've never visited, or one element you never thought to wear the way he wears it. If you feel like you're in a fashion rut, his blog may just be able to get you out of it.

Camilo Rallier, Uncomplicated Guy

Camilo reminds me a lot of one of my old favorites in the world of men's fashion blogging, Bronson Twine of (ir)regular guy. The similarity of their blog names doesn't hurt, but there's much more to it than that. Bronson's influence on Camilo feel's pretty clear, but Camilo is more like a teenaged version of him. He seems to have a less solid definition of himself and his look, and he's a bit of a fashion chameleon as a result. Lots of fashion bloggers are like this of course, but Camilo's fluid style strikes me more than most. He's a little bit of everything, and I look forward to seeing how his personal style will evolve over time.

I would add their blogs also tend to go on hiatus quickly and frequently, like Kevin's Fashion Workshop on your list, which last post dates (sadly so) March 2011. Camilo's posts also show up on wornclothes (blog)
