Top 25 Most Popular SL Sims for February 2013 - Vienna Rises, Fangtasia a New Hot Spot (Don't Tell Eric Northman)

Courtesy Louis Platini's Metaverse Business, a Second Life/OpenSim analytics company that gathers publicly accessible in-world data for its clients, here's the top 25 most popular sims in Second Life for February 2013, listed according their average visitor count, the unique visitor range at any given period, and the sim's rank the previous month. I haven't blogged these in awhile, but noticed there's at least a couple interesting new entries:

The SL map guide now has a search function, which you can use to search any of these sims and directly teleport. The top 25 rarely changes much (which is why I stopped blogging it in the last six months or so), but last month, the Vienna sim jumped from rank 236 all the way to the top spot. (Some major event in February?) Also interesting is a relatively recent entry to the top charts: Fangtasia, which also happens to be the name of Eric Northman's decadent vampire bar in HBO's True Blood. I'm guessing the SL sim is also vampire-themed. I'm also guessing HBO wouldn't be super stoked about an online world Fangtasia that they don't own or control, but then again, maybe the sim owners got HBO's permission (possible but doubtful), or if not, and HBO found out, they'd treat it like most other fan-made True Blood content, and quietly look the other way (possible and likely).
