Follow The Creation and Development of a Super Cool Custom Second Life Avatar on Tumblr
If you're looking to see some of the latest and greatest avatar customization going on in Second Life, Tumblr's not a bad place to start. That's where I came across this cool (and kind of creepy) avatar, a work in progress that creator Snatt Mendel likes to call NullVoid.
Snatt's been posting progress updates to their Tumblr, and if you trace the Second Life tag there back far enough you can see many of the other custom avatars they've made and used in the past, from cartoonish cats to tricked out transformers... Along with some NSFW content, so consider yourself warned!
As for NullVoid, get a better look after the jump.
If you're looking to add NullVoid to your own wardrobe, there's a chance you might be out of luck. Though Snatt has a (damn adorable) shop on the SL Marketplace, and has mentioned the possibility of selling the avatar once its completed, it's pretty common for creators to keep highly personal custom avatars like this one to themselves. It might happen... But it also might not.
Either way I'm interested to see how NullVoid will turn out, and being able to follow the creator's progress over time has certainly made me appreciate the work that's gone into this striking character in a way that I wouldn't have if I'd simply stumbled across their avatar in-world. Be sure to check out Snatt's handiwork for yourself.
