I Just Can't Look Away From This Stylish Team's Second Life Fashion Blog

Haha die .nothing left but time
Janine "Iris Ophelia" Hawkins' ongoing review of gaming and virtual world style

Second Life blog Haha... Die is on the absolute bleeding edge of virtual fashion, with an eye-catching layout to match. It's almost hard to look away, and between the team of three bloggers (Emiliana, Deanna, and Wendy) posting there every outfit is a work of art.

This blog isn't just about the big picture, but all the little details that contribute to it, and their shots are composed accordingly to draw focus towards them. I also particularly like the way the team uses color -- in neutral, milky bursts, while blacks and whites are quite bold for contrast... Though I know that might seem like a strangely specific thing to praise.

Like I said, it's almost hard to look away from this dramatic, dynamic lookbook-style blog. Check it out for yourself here.

I love this style, and tried it way before it became cool to do it. The problem is, you are putting the credits straight on the picture, and people, especially users of flickr, have no need to go to your blog. My blog traffic plummeted when I was putting designers names on the picture. Love her styling!

The style and color of the blog and of the images is very nice and can draw you in.

But the avatars all have fish mouths, wuper wide hips, and bow legs. And that makes it hard for me to stay on a page for more than a few seconds without feeling a need to look away. As such I've been unable to 'get into' the fashions they're promoting.

I've had enough frowny faced, tiny eyed, oversize glasses wearing, smoking, IPR'd, 12 year old-ish looking avatars wearing overly twee clothing that would look better on an "older" avatar, to last a lifetime.

Grid luv ya, Iris, but you're a sucker for the twee, it's why you like the mesh heads!

Nice photo work, but we need MORE text on blogs, not less.

+1's Crono's post. :p
