TWO TENS

By total coincidence, two articles I wrote featuring lists of ten Second Life things were published on the same day:  Top Ten Sources for Second Life is my list of other SL blogs I go to first for NWN story ideas, while The Power Elite of Second Life is 10-6 of my shamelessly opinionated Kotaku.com article on the world's ten most influential connectors.  The tough thing about making top ten lists is, it's damn easy to come up with less than ten.  It's even easier to come up with more than ten.  But it's real painful to name only ten.  Listing my ten main SL blogs meant having to excise worthwhile blogs by, say, Brace Blog, Maxx Monde, and Hiro Pendragon, from the final list.  (Not to mention all the many semi-defunct blogs with excellent posts, but far too few of them lately.)  Same goes for that list of the Power Elite-- which, like any Top Ten list the media puts out, is more artifice and argument-starter than authoratative.  In that case, however, at least there's a workaround:  I'm planning to post a Resident-created list based on democratic vote.  If you have an active SL account, use it to log into my Forum and nominate your own personal Top Ten Power Elite.
