When I heard from event organizer Jade Lily a couple weeks ago, the teams involved in
The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Second Life had already raised the L$ equivalent of $11,000 in pledges-- nearly a month before the July 22/23rd event launched. Last year's Relay was epic, and this year should far eclipse it. "There will be tons of activities, live entertainment, DJs, contests, and lots of pretty stuff to look at," Jade tells me. "We're dividing the twelve sims [set aside for the event] into distinct cultural regions to represent the cultural diversity of the SL community and the non-discriminatory nature of cancer."
Get involved in all the fun and activities starting July 22nd-- not to mention the ongoing fight against cancer's scourge-- by visiting Jade's site
