The 2006 Machinima Festival hosted by the Academy of Machinima Arts & Sciences, one of the most renowned advocates of the medium, is taking submissions for the November event in Astoria, New York. Deadline's September 22nd: here's the submission form. Considering the recent explosion of SL machinima, I expect more than a few SL-made movies will make it to the nomination phase.
