Rik Riel took the tour I'd meant to take myself, checking in on the many in-world memorials and events held in tribute to 9/11's 5th anniversary, and posted a recap. Rik had heard repugnant rumors that someone was planning to desecrate one of the sites by dive bombing it with an airplane, and since in real life he happens to live just three blocks from Ground Zero, was none too pleased. As it turned out, he needn't have worried: on that day, the Green Lantern Core was there, protecting the memorial like they'd protected Camp Darfur. Read all of Rik's recap here.
