Another Second Life first is happening on
Saturday October 7 from 5:00-7:00PM SLT as eight musicians from all over the world gather in Menorca for the first ever
multi-musician “meta-jam”
concert in Second Life. The eight featured musicians are: Melvin
Took, Ricardo Sprocket, Komuso Tokugawa, Cylindrian Rutabaga, Jaycatt Nico,
Frogg Marlowe, Slim Warrior, and Didge Undertone. The concert will also be
streaming through Wicked Karma Live (link here).
Also coming up in the next few days: a discussion of SL “immersionists” versus “augmentationists,” a “silent witness” to domestic violence, blurry photos at the Second Life Library, space tourism, and… murder.

Silent
Witness to Domestic Violence
In
honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, real life women’s legal
advocate Ziolla Magpie has created a “Silent
Witness” display on view the entire month of October to create
awareness of the victims of domestic violence around the world. Visitors
can learn out about the pervasiveness of the problem, find support groups, and obtain
a solidarity pin. Location: Theta (52,54,24).

Interactive Theater
David "Ditch" Digger, the
owner of the Summerlot Resort in the Catskills has been killed. Whodunit? You
will have a crack at finding out in this interactive game/dinner show. Cost
500L per ticket, only 10 tickets to be sold. At Beyond the Prim (64,22).

Life Library Gallery Presents Bucky Barkley Art Show
The Second
Life Library will be hosting in their new art gallery a showing of the “zoom
blur photography” of Bucky Barley. Entitled "Blurred
Realities", the show will explore the zoom blur photography technique, which
Bucky Barkley describes as "a bit like an impressionistic painting,done
completely in-camera in a half second. It' s
also a wonderful way to wear out a lens." At Info Island
(24, 125, 33).
