Rik Riel on upcoming SL events:
Starting Thursday October 12 all
the way through to Saturday October 14, there will be a host of
educational and entertainment activities organized in conjunction with
the official opening of Second Life Library / Info Island.
There's a little something for everyone, from scary movie showings to
bioterrorism medical response demos to beach dance parties, and it's co-sponsored by the Alliance Library System,
a consortium of libraries around the United States, and the Second Life
Library/Info Island collaborative group of librarians.
And
that's just the beginning. The next few days are chock-a-block with
interesting events going on around the realm, including a live 72-hour
"high speed build" by Versu Richelieu, a Geisha debut party, and a live
concert by punk-pop group Sugarcult in conjunction with the UN's "Stand
Up Against Poverty" campaign. More details after the jump.
