If you've got an SL-based topic you want to talk about, or an announcement/
project/event you want to mention, post and
discuss here. On Monday, I'll highlight interesting Comments and commentators in
an update. (The screenshot, by the way, was taken almost exacatly three years ago, during a Town Hall meeting in which Philip Linden tried to convince Residents-- many of whom were vehemently skeptical-- that charging them US$ to own virtual land was a good idea.)

The banning of Prokofy Neva from the SL Blog reflects a disturbing trend, further indicating Linden Labs is losing touch with it's customer-base. Love him or hate him, Prokofy cares about Second Life and the direction it is headed. He used the blog to highlight issues that Linden Labs found particularly troublesome (and consequently swept under the virtual rug), and for his efforts got banned.
According to their own blog rules, banning is not an option. Deletion or editing of posts (which is questionable in it's own right) is their proclaimed maxiumum punishment for violation of the rules. Why then did they take this extreme step? Is it to silence one of their most vocal opponents? Whatever the reason, it reeks of the selective listening practices many have accused the Lindens of.
