Roy Irwin and Karen Zohari share their story of coming to Limantour, after learning about SL in a Dutch newspaper:
"Like many new Residents, we almost became lost souls but we survived.
This virtual 3D world has triggerd us to be creative, so we decided
within a few days we needed to upgrade our accounts and buy land. Not
because we wanted to be the next landlords, but because we wanted to
have a place to feel like home and be able to build on our own land...
"We started our journey in owning land and purchased so called first land, where we placed our very first prefab free house. By displaying our own photo’s on the walls the idea of an art gallery was born...
"We decided we wanted to design and build an art gallery to exhibit our own photo’s as well as art of other artists to brighten up the world of Second Life. We went hunting for a bigger piece of land to build a new gallery on, and found a nice parcel on a cliff looking out over some water, large enough to put a separate house and gallery on it.
"We would like to be able to welcome lots of residents.. to enjoy with us what we like to decribes as 'let your eyes breathe the beauty of art'. Meet up with some lovely people and sit down and discuss art and the finer things of life." (Direct teleport to their gallery here.)
And where in the world do you live? Take a look at the entire Window series for inspiration, read the details for submitting to NWN's World From My Window series, then send me a screenshot or video link of your SL home or favorite haunt.
