Now this is something: with the survey closed and 467 votes received, we've wound up with a perfect tie! (An uncanny ending, in other words, to an Uncanny Expo.) Fortunately, one entry is a video submission, and the other is a screenshot, so rather than choose between what are really two different categories, I'm going to declare them both winners of the first New World Notes Uncanny Valley Expo. Congrats to each of them, thanks to all who submitted and voted, and thanks to Clive Thompson for selecting the finalists. I'll be contacting the winners for their free NWN ad, but once again, here they are, in all their eerily human-like resplendence:
