I had no idea metaverse art could get so meta. Not just artfully composed screenshots, or 3D sculpture, or avatar dance recital, or even interactive installations, but now, compositions taken with the debugging interface. I am entirely unsurprised the contest is the brainchild of Osprey Therian, caped ironist on rollerskates.
Deadline is January 20th-- go here for the submission guidelines.
This is brilliant... BRILLIANT! As a follower of this sort of thing, I've been embarking on art which composites SL's UI with post-procesing glitchiness. One such example is Knightvision:

That being said, consider me an entrant for the contest, not eligible for L$ but a willing participant in the new frontier of tech-art.
Thanx for the heads-up Hamlet, and WTG Osprey!!!!

A late thanks for your post, Hamlet. It's mostly because of you that we were able to reach many new artists. :)
Winners are here (with links to inworld site): http://sl-art-news.blogspot.com/2007/01/ui-abstraction-photography-contest.html
Congrats to everyone who entered. Torley even won an honorable mention :)
