If you are an educator or librarian interested in getting more active in SL then head over to Info Island (teleport SLURL) to catch Fleet Goldenberg's talk on "Establishing an Educational Presence in Second Life/Teen Second Life." Fleet is a leader of the Eye4You Alliance on the Teen Grid, an active member of the SL education community and the owner of Graduation Village, a facility promoting teen education as well as adult consultancy, training and publishing services. In related news, the New Media Consortium recently announced that they have launched a new initiative called NMC Virtual Worlds, a pro bono service to help education-focused organizations get the most out of virtual environments.
Also coming up in next few days: how to make an aquarium, the book that changed your life, politics in the Middle East, the "coolest x-ray telescope ever made" and much, much more after the jump...
