"Art ... in a World of Art," is a new series of full-sim exhibitions taking place through Spring 2007 sponsored by the New Media Consortium. Through February 20, check out the wacked out vision of Ahkenatan Grommet in a full-sim display of "fanciful and fantastic vehicles, everyday objects, and dinosaurs, playfully arranged." It's a lot of fun, but I want to know what a crucifix is doing there? At Service (204, 218, 44).
Also coming up this week: Photoshop for beginners, a tattoo just for you, building and dance contests, a multi-media Bible study group, and avatars come out swinging.

Pianist-vocalist Heath Vercher performs his own soothing compositions at the Nantucket Theater in Nantucket (30, 181).
11PM - Opening of Ginsberg Art Centre
Smart ART announces the grand opening of the The
Ginsberg Arts Center at Ginsberg (142, 156). The gallery exhibits paintings, prim sculptures and photography. There's als a "Sphere of Tranquility"

6PM - Louis Volare in Concert
Louis Volare performs at the Amphitheater of the Isle of Hetaira (teleport SLURL.) His solo piano music is melodic, optimistic, and peaceful. Please join him as he performs works from his CD "unwind" as well as some unreleased selections.

11AM - Arsheba Dance Contest

4PM - Saturday Night Boxing Showdown
Get ready to ruuuuuumble at the Second Life Boxing's "Saturday Night Showdown." Each match features different boxers, and a variety of
match types. The promoter notes that there's plotlines and acting, but the match outcomes are never
rigged or predetermined. At LONG ISLAND (235, 245).
7PM - Primtionary Game
Primtionary is the SL version of Pictionary played with prims, the basic building materials of Second Life. Building participants are given a word to build and everyone else has to guess what it is. Fabulous prizes for both the builder and winning guesser (ok, just 25 lindens.) At Asim Zahra (187, 177).

4PM - Second Life Ballet
The Second Life Ballet will be debuting their premiere production "Olmannen", an original three-act story ballet written specifically for SL Ballet. Original animations, choreography and music have been created for "Olmannen". Stay for Q&A afterwards with Director Inarra Saarinen and the dancers. For those who miss it, there will be additional performances on Wednesdays and Sundays at 4PM through February. At Quat (44,19,108).
7PM - "Skeptical Buddhism" Class
This is the first in a four-part series on "Skeptical Buddhism," with Starsitter Quality. He
will briefly cover the history of Buddhism, some of its most basic
principles, and consider that enlightenment is something we can find
here and now rather than after a lifetime of practice. At Skeptical Buddhist's Sky Sangha at Toowoomba (78, 25).
8PM - Acoustic Rock by Keiko Takamura
Keiko Takamura performs acoustic alternative rock at the grand opening of Cocololo Island (163, 233).
