As with Catherine Omega, the real life story behind Jenna Fairplay, another Resident first profiled in New World Notes, is even more extraordinary than originally reported. Not just a statuesque brunette who built a successful adult nightclub business with her unique spin on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs-- but a single mother who pulled herself and her children off welfare, in the process.

I must preface my comments by saying I'm glad this woman was able to find a way to self-reliance, ridding herself of welfare, and support her kids while doing something she enjoys.
Having said that, however, how in the world did she get a $4000 welfare grant to build a Second Life business? Maybe it's refreshing foresight on the part of the system, but I couldn't imagine in a million years that they would fork over money to help someone build a business based on a game.

Second Life? a Game? I don´t think so .. GTA is a Game but SL ?? There are Games inside but SL is not supposed to be a Game.
Read the USA Today Article about Phillip Rosendale the Creator of SL: http://www.usatoday.com/printedition/money/20070205/secondlife_cover.art.htm

I believe what was meant is that she went from supporting herself on a $4000 welfare grant to where she is today.
