Rik Riel's weekly round-up of upcoming SL events...
Mel Cheeky has put together a series of concerts to raise money for a friend of the SL music scene who in real life was recently diagnosed
with Cholesteatoma, an inner ear growth that can cause hearing loss and vertigo and worse effects. A series of all-star benefit concerts are taking place starting Tuesday February 6 to Monday February 12, featuring such artists as Mel Cheeky, Cylindrian Rutabaga, Rich Desoto, Push Chandler, Takamura Keiko, Frogg Marlowe, Jaycatt Nico, and Charles Coleman. All at the Harmony Club at MCEstates (112,45). See Dolmore Talamasca's blog for details.
Also coming up this week: Delusions of God, putting Ruby on the rails, GeekBrief.tv, sex, murder, Quakers, and a boatload more after the jump.
NOTE: This week I continue to experiment with the online calendar service Eventful.com where you can subscribe to my event picks group. Hamlet has also added upcoming events in a widget to the right. Feel free to comment here or email me if you like this service or not.

:-)
It's a common mistake, made all the more ubiquitous by certain fonts, but the phrase is "iechyd da" with an initial "i". (There are well-meaning -- but Welsh-speaking signwriterless -- supermarkets in Wales that advertise their yoghurt as "Logwrt"!)
