Rik Riel's weekly round-up of upcoming SL events...
Second Life seems to be teeming with business-oriented conventions as of late. Dr Dobb's Life 2.0 Summit is an in-world/web event focused on topics relevant to SL developers, builders, and other techie folks taking place from April 28-May 4. The Summit includes keynote addresses, a series of panel discussions on developer topics and an eight-hour LSL bootcamp. The venue was always jam-packed when I went by, so take advantage of the web interface to catch the streaming audio and participate via text chat. For a complete summary of the program, please click here. At Dr Dobb's Island (teleport SLURL.)
Also coming up: burning rubber, skydiving for cash, scripting math magic, a town hall on "Project Open Letter" and a space museum keeps on expanding. All that and more after the jump...
