Strange, moving, awkward, wonderful, hilarious, sexy, aggravating, overindulgent, intriguing-- if you were there, please share all those moments and more here. I'm still in China, and wishing I could have somehow also managed to be in Chicago.

Ann Enigma's talk about educational projects in SecondLife was probably the highlight of the conference for me (other than getting to meet Cylindrian Rutabaga in person!). Ann is very good at boiling down what she has done, and passing on exactly the portions that are useful and novel.
Highlights of her work:
--A sensor network that generates really USEFUL traffic statistics (including heatmaps)
--The info fez (which will hopefully very quickly replace notecards at in-world museums)

Chenin Anabuki of Avatrian was able to attend SLCC and comments...
"With four separate tracks, multiple socials, and a bunch of unofficial events, the SLCC 2007 can leave you with a “what just happened?” feeling after departing Chicago. This article is an attempt to consolidate the key learnings from this important gathering based on Avatrian’s own experience and point of view.
* The sense of community in Second Life is still strong. There are many attendees and presenters who were there primarily to connect with other Second Life residents and users. Knowledge sharing was very easy and free flowing. I came away with the impression that people really like to share their experiences and genuinely want to help others. Some earlier residents who have been around in the beginning commented that this sense of community is starting to erode. Hopefully, it does not erode too quickly
(or at all) in spite of the massive growth in membership. Otherwise, the SL experience will lose a big part of what it can offer..."
