Rik Riel's weekly round-up of upcoming SL events...
Well the big happening this week is of course the Second Life Community Convention in Chicago from August 24-26. For those that can't make it to Chi-town, many of the panels and discussions will be audio streamed into SL to various locations. Not only that, there will be a number of parallel in-world events going on, from art shows to music concerts, storytelling, a "leather and lace" masquerade ball, and a "magic mushroom hunt." Check the full schedule of in-world events, as well as the real world schedule to see which panels will be streamed.
I'm headed over for my first SLCC, so I'm pretty excited! I'll try and liveblog as much as I can over at Rikomatic.com.
Also coming this week: Digital density discussions, you too can haiku, arcade game scripting, the bloody battle of Fredericksburg, prim hair transformations, Brazilian knowledge sharing, and -- woo hoo! -- Burning Life ignites again! All that and many more cool events after the ellipses ...
