Update, 8/5: Ruder out loud? Cyn Vandeverre has been hearing reports that voice chat is leading to "a lot more rude or brusque" interactions. What's your take?
I've heard anecdotal reports that people using voice are a lot more rude or brusque than people using text chat -- random interactions on the street, that is, not amongst friends. Has anyone found this to be true/untrue?

I have found it to be true. When I tried voice, I found that the other people who were using it were very quick to:
1) Pressure others to speak
2) Accuse people who didn't use it of "hiding" something.
3) Be rude and obnoxious.
I prefer to type. It forces people to filter themselves before shooting their mouth off and being rude.
There's a lot of what I would call "Voice Bigotry" going around. Some people are all too eager to judge others when there are a host of valid reasons never to use it.
