One of the Lindens' publicists recently passed along this link to a blog that tracks down where leading Web 2.0 companies first launched, and I liked it so much, I uploaded it to my office in Waterhead. Located in San Francisco's once seedy, now gentrified Hayes Valley district, The Startup Game reports that Philip Linden's first warehouse on 333 Linden is now a Moroccan furniture store.
Also worth adding: right after the Lindens vacated but before it turned into a home furnishing outlet, the building briefly became a gay sex club. I know this because after moving to the new office on 2nd and Brannan, one of the Lindens' waggish developers found an ad for the place, and tacked it up on the lunch room bulletin board. It featured a smooth-chested, muscular dude announcing, with a come-hither look, "I'll see you at 333 Linden." I'm guessing he wasn't inviting you to catch a haptics VR demonstration.
Anyway, good times. Check out the whole series, with Digg, Craigslist, Mozilla, and more.

Does the club have sex furniture. I'd love one of those sex pillows. http://www.pleasuremenow.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=522
