This was inevitable, and probably necessary: Second Life Link is a new Facebook application connecting FB friends with their SL avatar names. (App page here, if you have an account on the network.) The authorization process is clever: to verify that you're the Second Life Resident you say you are, you need to teleport from the SLURL in the Facebook application to the SL Link headquarters in-world, and click on a button. If you're lucky like me, a jade green Medusa sitting on a couch will be there to provide technical support.
Created by Fire Centaur, it's still in Beta, but already has almost a couple hundred active users. Right now there's just a few features: you can see which of your FB/SL friends are in Second Life, and which aren't, and directly teleport to their designated Home or Favorite locations in-world. They're taking donations, and feature suggestions. Mine? A way to automatically tag and upload SLURLs to a database of sites worth visiting. That, and connect SL Link with Facebook's Zombie game, so the undead can carry on their brain eating in-world.
Hat tip to Suezanne C Baskerville, who tipped me to SL Link by inviting me to it.

This is Jared the developer/tech support of the facebook side of the application. Just wanted to say thanks for the review and also to watch out in the coming weeks as more functionality is added to the application.
Who knows Zombies could very well be coming your way. It is just about Halloween.
Regards,
Jared Mitchell
