Rik Riel's weekly round-up of upcoming SL events...
One of my favorite things to do in Second Life is catch a live musical performance by an artist I probably would never get to see perform in the real world. There's just something wonderful about having front row seats for a dozen different concerts available to you at almost any time of day. And your avatar doesn't smell like beer and cigarettes afterwards!
The list of new musicians from around the world putting on concerts in SL continues to grow every month. This week, you've got quite an international selection, with Swedish pianist Ross LeShelle, Japanese blues musician Umanosuke Runo, Irish fiddler Slip Stringfellow and Canadian singer Montian Gilruth. Check out the details on all these concerts after the jump.
Also Coming Up This Week: creating an inclusive Islamic community in SL, raising lindens for toys for tots, a Grammy-nominated jazz trumpeter swings into town, Orange asks "Are you your avatar?", a chat with the man behind SL voicechat, robotic soccer, the world's largest chess library, and a new book for virtual entrepreneurs launches. All that and lots more music coming up this week...
