Luna's "Princess Watching over Her Castle" was taken at Victorianna "a magnificent place" (SLURL teleport at this link) and will be an entry in the Cannery Rezzable Gallery's upcoming show. "The description of my picture goes: 'I fly away to Moorish castles and almond trees,'" she writes. "'Crickets are getting ready for their nightsong while a lonely gull cries out the end of the day. A ship is approaching the coastline.'" Of her prodigious screenshot work, she says, "I mean to capture the moment, the beauty, the emotion that I see around me, be it in Second life or in my mind, and I try to enhance the effect it had on my retina by using Photoshop.
"I’m thrilled by places where I can fantasize away, forests, old castles, islands or places near the ocean, mountains, snowscapes, anything that makes me escape and send me on journey away from reality for a brief time. I always strive for harmony, maybe as a compensation for my own chaotic mind."
Submitting to New World Tableau:
New World Tableau is an ongoing album featuring Residents who've turned SL screenshots into a new art form, vividly conveying emotions, stories, and entire cultures in a single image.
- If you come across a picture or image stream that deserves a place
here, please IM (Hamlet Au) or e-mail ([email protected]) me the link.
- Feel free to describe what the image says to you, or if you're the creator, what inspired you to make it.
- Whenever possible, name the
Residents pictured, and include a SLURL to the location (when appropriate.)
-
Moderately Photoshopped
images are OK, just mention if this is the case, and what effects were
added. (On rare occasions when the post-production adds a special
element, heavily Photoshopped images are also appropriate.)
-
If you submit an image to NWT, it's assumed I have permission to run
it, either as the owner, or because it's been appropriately CC
licensed. The original creator retains all their rights to it, in any
case.
