I keep expecting irrepressible young Katharine Berry to create a killer app feature for AjaxLife, her Web-based Second Life interface, something that takes it from a cool gimmick to practical necessity. With her latest version, she might have very well done just that: inventory management and object transfer. Now you can handle a lot of your SL grunt work from a Web browser without having to download/log into the client. Read about it on her blog.

Thanks for posting this. I just tried Ajaxlife out and am very impressed. I wonder if she is working on including the visual elements of 2L into the viewer as well.

I tried it several months ago and was truly impressed... Now, after trying it again?
Off scale, simply, amazing.
Yes, for the average user, used to the home PC, perhaps not reflection what truly goes on, maybe this is not much.
But to be able to log in through a browser, I actually tested FF 2.0.0.12 running from an USB stick, this is gold.
Katharine is a genius and her work is an enormous contribution. Thank you!

good thing that Katharine Berry had been dare to pursue AJAX path to 2.5D that 3D world, but... there is only one tiny little hiccup - AJAX is not well studied as environment for malware... conclusions are up to readers
