The link in this image and below is totally not safe viewing for work (unless you work at Vivid Entertainment, in which case, it's research), but it provokes a fascinating question that's never been satisfactorily answered: there's a lot of sexual content in Second Life (though considerably less than often assumed); there's definitely a lot of Second Life machinima out there on the Web. So where's all the machinima porn?
In my daily scan of SL machinima, I can honestly report spotting just a handful among many thousands of videos, and none very accomplished. Filling that lacuna on Mean Girls Guide to SL is ribald fashionista Kitty Lalonde, with this fun and flashy tribute to 80s-style, Boogie Nights-era soft core. It's graphic, though by the eyeball-frying standards of what's out there on the Net, almost downright wholesome. But assuming you find the archetypal, acrobatic hijinx of a buff plumber and a bored housewife appealing in the first place, the question is: Is it sexy? And if not, why not?
