Bettina Tizzy, Second Life's undisputed metaverse art maven (a small sampling of her selections here, here, and here), is doing the next inevitable thing-- creating a garden of beautiful and extraordinary SL art installations. Adding to the charm, she's using Hieronymous Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights" as a frame of reference:
If you were to journey into heaven or hell, what would this look like, and how might you make this as immersive as possible? Think Dante's "Divine Comedy," but with your own twist. And what are the earthlings doing that might force them into the depths of the underworld or paradise?
She's looking for content creators to submit their ideas and their creativity; building starts on April 27. Go to her blog for more details. I can't wait to see what emerges.
Ah Hamlet, thank you so much for helping us to get the word out! Importantly, none of this would be possible were it not for the fact that RightasRain Rimbaud and his Rezzable Productions have **so generously offered** FOUR sims for two whole months. Somebody pinch me, please! I still think I'm dreaming.
Not only is RightasRain providing the essential land for this, but he has rolled up his sleeves and has been involved every step of the way.
To anyone who may be reading this and considering participation, please read our post on either the Rezzable Productions blog or on the NPIRL blog very_carefully and follow the instructions. We hope to discover many MANY new or new-to-us gifted artists through this exercise. Does that mean YOU?
