Dusan Writer is a brave man: while most of us just complain about Second Life's profoundly confusing user-interface, he's put down virtual cash on the barrel, offering L$800K for the top three designs of "a 'newbie viewer' or a 'junior client' ... that would improve the experience of a new or inexperienced user." That's nearly $3000 on the open market. I actually think it's one of the most vexing challenges in the entire tech industry: how do you create an intuitive interface for a 3D application that superficially resembles an MMO but is also a content creation platform with its own DRM system and virtual land management interface? Just for starters. If you're as brave as Dusan, go here to get the details.
