Dr. Darien Mason

Dear Mr. Au,

I am honored that someone has referred my journal for your perusal!

You will find a long list of likewise worthy journals on the left-hand side of home-page, concentrated towards role-playing in the Steampunk/Gaslamp Fantasy genre. May I suggest starting with a new collaborative journal I am proud to have helped organize: The High Tea & High Adventure Society!

You could add my Shiny Life site to your mix. :) I mostly post about art, artists, and content. I also create video tutorials. Recently I have been concentrating on sculpted prims and using zBrush to create them.

Uummm maybe a couple of italian sites/blogs about SL's italian community?

http://www.slnn.it

http://www.secondlifeitalia.com

but of course there are dozens of others blogs from italian residents (or merchants), unfortunately your anti-spam filter seems hate dozens of links in just a comment. So take a look at http://www.slnn.it/sl_sites.html and find what could be good for you.

And remember.. you asked.... I simply replied... lol :pp

Ignatius Onomatopoeia

"In a Strange Land" keeps plugging along at Media General, covering my and my friends bumbling. The audience for this blog began as newcomers to SL, and now I mix more "advanced" topics with stories for those new to SL or merely curious:

Dr. Rafael Fabre

Dear Mr. Au,
I do pen a small blog dealing with SL Steampunk and Neo-Victoriana, called "The Heliograph". It has seen a couple of visitors, so I thought I might offer it among the others who have listed their efforts.

Hamlet, dont forget the mermaids ;) http://www.mermaiddiaries.com

Torley Lives

I'm finding an increasing # of non-English blogs to be INTENSELY exciting. Among them are Japanese blogs like:

* Ramona Forcella
* ak Yip

There are more great ones I'm missing, but they're often linked together! Seek them out — even if you don't understand the language and machine translation is embarrassing, you'll find yourself in awe at the aesthetic style and unique global perspectives (pretty pictures!) present.

Ponsonby Low

Here's another blog (my own). It's written from the perspective of a newbie, including such solutions to frustrating newbie problems that I've been able to find.

Ponsonby Low

Perhaps I should amend that to say "newbie problems that would tend to frustrate those with somewhat-less-than-impressive Internet (or technology) smarts".....http://secondscrutiny.blogspot.com

Melissa Yeuxdoux

I commend to your attention "It's a Scaggs Life!" (http://scaggslife.blogspot.com/) and "Chey's Second Life Blog" (http://cheyennepal.blogspot.com/).

Melissa Yeuxdoux

Oh, my! I forgot to mention the charming and highly educational Mermaid Diaries (http://www.mermaiddiaries.com/) by Natalia Zelmanov.

Talia Tokugawa

Hi Hamlet,
First off their is my own personal blog;
http://www.talia-tokugawa.co.uk
Second, is it very specifically blogs you are looking for or could you include Ning communities, which are mini social networking sites that include blogs on them.
One you should certainly checkout is the http://secondlifebloggers.ning.com
been seeing mentions of over 250 members on there.. that should bolster your list quite considerably.
There are quite a few other Ning communities out there that are Secondlife Related too.. most the steampunk places that I am associated with seem to also have them.

Hi Hamlet,

Baron Klaus Wulfenbach

Herr Au,

I am surprised some of my friends I see in the comments above have not mentioned my reading list: http://caerfyrddin.org/mostlycaledon.htm - most of the journals are, indeed, by citizens of Caledon (most fond of conversation, that lot) but many are from other lands such as Steelhead and New Babbage. My own, sadly neglected of late, is 'Baronial Notations', http://klauswulfenbach.livejournal.com .

Hey

I wanted to share with you a AMAZING site I just came across teaching http://www.kravmagabootcamp.com>Krav Maga like they teach it in the Israeli Army (IDF) If you guys have seen the Discovery Channel TV Show called Fight Quest you would have seen their chief instructor Ran Nakash there. Anyways, I think it's worth a look. I've been a member for the last 4 months, and I've been loving every momen of it.

Hope I've helped someone here,

all the best
