"Memories are better than dreams," announces one Resident who sounds suspiciously like George Clooney, "so turn dreams into memories." That's just one of my favorite lines from the fifth year anniversary "Message in a Bottle" project of Dizzy Banjo and Lillie Yifu that I wrote about last month. Dizzy created a lovely machinima of the Bottle , sampling some of the audio recording that SL users uploaded into the Bottle, describing what Second Life means to them. Fittingly enough, you hear different accents from people around the world. YouTube version at this link.
Dizzy, by the way, has a great "Metamusic Podcast" series depicting various projects and personalities in Second Life, a highly-polished synthesis of machinima, voice chat, and music well worth watching. Check out "Dizzy TV" here.
Ah ! Thanks for the kind words Hamlet ! That line was actually from the wonderful Lauren Wayland. I'm sure the comparison to Clooney will go down a treat !!
Linking to individual episodes on blip can be tricky, so here is a direct link to the Message in a Bottle film on blip :
