OK, these aren't mine, they belong to dinee Ghia... or even more precisely, they're synthetic toes embedded in the new pair of heels she just bought. Like hands, default avatar feet in Second Life have long been an immersion breaker-- not fully articulated or individuated, leading to a stumpy, paralytic look. ("We have ugly feet," as Ms. Ghia puts it.) And now fashion designers are cleverly incorporating toes into their shoes. Clearly I don't devote enough time closely staring at female avatars' feet-- how long has artificial podiatry like this been in use?

What if the toes' skin tone does not match the actual avatar's skin tone?

Becca, usually a HUD is provided so you can work with the color of the toes, and change things like nail polish and toe rings. Depends on the feet, of course.

Shoes with custom toes have been around at least a year or more (I got a pair of shoes with toes sometime last summer)

I would be seriously worried, Hamlet, if you actually paid that much attention to people's toes in Second Life xD

This blog has become nothing but an advertising platform. Guess I can delist it as a spam blogger now.

Dear Second God, please don't let me get this bitter, no matter how many Second Years I have behind me, amen.

Ann, how is it an advertising blog if he doesn't mention the name of the vendor?
BTW Hamlet, who *is* the vendor?

I forget, Liberty, my real interest is how it innovates toward greater avatar realism-- click through to dinee's blog to get the details.
