I found Mr. Stine's dark and arresting vision on his Koinup profile. He took at it, he tells me, at a random fashion show whose details he's long since forgotten. Since then, he's brought new and ambivalent meanings of his own.
Much of that came in post-production effects he added to the image: "In Photoshop, I burned out much of the image in order to increase focus on the subject. Then I added the shadow of the subject onto the floor." The next challenge was to show a hint of Second Life's wireframe mesh substrate in one corner. "As you may know," he says, "there is a key combination that removes all detail from your view in SL, leaving only the underlying wire frames that make up the 3D objects of SL's landscape. I used this wire method to get a snapshot of the wire mesh. Then I added a section of the mesh to the bottom-left corner of the image and topped it off by making a 'curled' corner and adding shadowing."

- Submitting as an in-world texture not recommended, as they often come out distorted and not high res.
- Feel free to describe what the image says to you, or if you're the creator, what inspired you to make it.
- Whenever possible, name the
Residents pictured, and include a SLURL to the location (when appropriate.)

Moderately Photoshopped
images are OK, just mention if this is the case, and what effects were
added. (On rare occasions when the post-production adds a special
element, heavily Photoshopped images are also appropriate.)

If you submit an image to NWT, it's assumed I have permission to run
it, either as the owner, or because it's been appropriately CC
licensed. The original creator retains all their rights to it, in any
case.
