Recently someone handed me a Sky Pen, a nifty device that lets you "write" colored lines in thin air. At the time this struck me as a fun toy, and thought to describe it as such. Botgirl Questi, however, innovated a powerful practical use for the Sky Pen-- writing notes on images and text that she uploaded to large display boards. (Here she is, working with Night Morrisey on a comic cook they're writing together.) Voila, instant low budget whiteboard tool for collaborative work in-world.

How wonderful! So often I've wished to able to draw someone a quick sketch of something inworld! *adds to shopping list*

This is terrific! We'll definitely be using this in Extropia for collaborative architectural design, instead of web-based sketching tools and emailing around scribbled-on photos!

Recall reading about this. Will have to give it a try.

I have one of those "sky pens," or something similar. It has made a good toy for my avatar -- and has been used to quickly sketch out ideas. Good to see it talked about by others!

I love those pens! I've had them for a while and they're tons of fun. My favorite use for them is tagging friends' houses and leaving them snapshots of my handiwork. XD
