NewTeeVee is an extremely popular blog covering online video in all its incarnations (I'm an occasional contributor), and produces "Pier Screenings", real world parties that showcase the best and latest online videos, usually with an impressive roster of Web 2.0 talent in attendance. (Kevin Rose of Digg spoke at the first show; a top YouTube exec was a judge at last month's screening.) The next Pier Screening is August 28th in Los Angeles, and they're taking machinima submissions. Top videos win prizes; first place video is a one terabyte hard drive. More important than that, however, is it's a chance to show off your machinima to an audience of Hollywood/online video folks in the market for fresh talent. Deadline's August 21st; go here for all the submission details.
