I'm a fan of Botgirl Questi's comics, which she creates from enhanced screenshots run through several post-image processes. In her latest post, she gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how she does it, from raw screenshot to Photoshop and beyond. Much of the work involves removing the little discordant visual details we ignore in-world. Such as:
Either a hand is poking into someone's back, fingers look like breadsticks or a limb is bent in an unnatural way. Although I try to set up each shot to avoid the most obvious issues, I've found that it still makes sense to overshoot, and take photos from many angles.
Read on here. If the story she's turning into comic form seems familiar, you may have first read about it here, a melancholy recollection of the time a woman's avatar betrayed her.
