This looks like another great project for Wikitecture, the collaborative building platform I've written about so many times: In conjunction with the University of Alabama and metaverse developer i3D, Wikitecture founders Keystone Bouchard/Jon Brouchard and Theory Shaw/Ryan Schultz have launched a project to design the ultimate virtual classroom. The idea is to implement feedback and ideas from teachers and students, along with architects. Contributors get to split L$250,000 (about $1000), "distributed based on a unique ‘Community Assessment’ method," in which "members of the community collectively determine the approximate
percentage of credit each contributor deserves." Go here for all the details.
