I enjoy finding fully immersive Second Life blogs written from within the reality of an SL sub-community. One of the newest of these is Patent Pending, reporting news as it unfolds within Second Life's thriving steampunk societies. The latest entry: word of a protest by the ladies of Rivet Town, objecting to the recent imposition of long skirt regulations.
Speaking of which, I know of a few other active SL steampunk-themed blogs-- A Stroll Through Caledon, The High Tea & High Adventure Society, and The Journal of Dr. Darien Mason. What others are extant and entirely devoted to metaverse Victoriana?
What exactly would you be looking for? Any blog from residents of Caledon, Steelhead City, or New Babbage with a blog would count....too numerous to mention.
http://steelheadsentinel.blogspot.com/ Blog of the official newspaper of Steelhead City. Steelhead City is a Steampunk fantasy sim set in the Oregon territory, roughly around 1890.
http://voyagesofdrfabre.blogspot.com/ Doctor Rafael Fabre's blog. Sometimes he tells of goings on in the Steampunk communities in Second Life, sometimes it's about Steampunk items in the real world (amazing how this genre is taking off in the real world)
The good Doctor has a complete list of blog links on his page that would bring you those blogs.
Also, there's mine, http://fuzzball-ortega.blogspot.com/ Which has been turned into an original fiction adventure blog, rather than blog about the goings on in the community. The stories are rushed sometimes, most written in less than a half hour, but they have the interest of some in the community.
There are others, just depends on what you're looking for exactly.
Also, there are places that take something modern and gives it that Steampunk twist. For example, nightclubs have been given a steampunk spin in Second Life, like Club Gearz in Steelhead Boomtown.

Yes, because if there's one thing SL doesn't have enough of, it's more steampunk crap, right?
C'mon, we can only take so much of this whole "in an alternate reality nerdy shut-ins will be cool, and will live in high society and charm and get all the fly honeys" trope. Sooner or later it gets old--even for the perpetual hangers-on like Wired magazine, etc.

I take it he's not a fan.
To answer your original query,

SL Steampunk blogging is like reading an ecyclopedia, one thing leads to another.
BTW, I maintain a couple-- http://hiberniaskids.blogspot.com
and
http://http://talltalesofhibernia.blogspot.com/
(this last one interweaves nicely with Mr. Ortega's blog, mentioned above-- we are currently working on a joint fiction project, RETURN TO FUSANG)
