Here's a round-up of recent non-SL articles I've written for GigaOM, which nevertheless influence my thinking about Second Life/OpenSim one way or another:
"Confirmed: Obama Is Campaigning on Xbox 360!": The Senator follows Gov. Mark Warner's SL footsteps-- right into the White House?... "Why a War on Virtual Gold Sellers Makes No Sense": On the latest attempt by MMORPG game developers to keep their economy artificially virtual... "Wii Speak Channel: Think Skype for the Living Room": Wii owners communicate via VOIP, and animated avatars. Sound familiar?
Looks like Obama is gunning for the youth vote. I wonder if they'll actually turn out to vote.
