My colleague Pier at NWN partner Koinup just told me about this simple but cool heads-up display widget, created by Talia Tokugawa: the Koinup Exploration HUD Device, free on xStreetSL. Wear it, and when you visit an SL region, the HUD checks to see if it's been discovered by another Koinup user and photographed for the social network's SL Places directory. If it hasn't, it blinks "UNDISCOVERED" in red, meaning you've found a new place to share. A great tool for all those inveterate SL explorers who want to expand the street view map of the metaverse, so to speak. Read more about it on Koinup's blog.
